Sales Navigator vs classic people search
Use classic people search when you are on free LinkedIn /search/results/people (often ~1,000 results). Use Sales Navigator people search when you have an SN seat and a /sales/search/people URL with query= (up to ~2,500). They are separate Listful surfaces.

Pick by the URL in the bar
If you see /search/results/people, use the classic people-search export. If you see /sales/search/people with query= or #query=, use Sales Navigator. Listful does not auto-merge the two pipelines.
Seat and filter depth
Classic search works on free LinkedIn with Boolean and UI filters. Sales Nav needs an SN seat and unlocks lead filters most outbound teams already live in — still export-only, no messaging.
Caps in practice
Classic search often truncates near ~1,000. SN typically reaches ~2,500 when pages keep returning. Choose SN when you need the larger filtered lead set and already pay for the seat.
Questions.
Q01Do I need Sales Navigator for Listful?
Only for the Sales Nav surface. Classic people search works on free LinkedIn.
Q02Which export is larger?
Sales Nav’s typical stop (~2,500) is higher than classic search’s common ~1,000 truncation.
Q03Can I export SN account lists?
No. Only /sales/search/people. Account and company lists on other SN URLs are out of scope.
Q04Same CSV columns?
Yes for the free profile columns. Caps and URL recipes differ.
Q05Recruiter instead?
Recruiter is unsupported. Use classic people search or SN people search.
Q06Missing query= on SN?
Apply a keyword or filter so the address bar includes query= or #query= before exporting.
